In my capacity as Chair Holder of the Jean Monnet Chair “Promoting Public Awareness on Enlargement Policy, EU Values, and the Western Balkans’ Accession” (EUVALWEB), I wish to express my contentment with the outcomes of yesterday’s conference. To sum up, even though we may not be facing a new chapter in the Union’s enlargement, the insightful presentations have shown us the path and the solutions to really start writing one.

Profs. Sara Poli, Maria Eugenia Bartoloni, Christophe Hillion, Marco Evola, Alessandro Petti, Cristina Contartese, and Anna Pau have my sincere gratitude.

I am grateful to the members of the Chair’s teaching staff, all colleagues, and professionals from the Western Balkans and Europe who have contributed to the scientific quality of our teaching and research activities over the past three years.

I would also like to express my gratitude to the Albanian, Erasmus, and Department of Legal Studies students who have attended my lectures and actively participated in the workshops over the past three years in order to learn about and comprehend the Union’s enalargement as well as the current global geopolitical landscape through the lens of enlargement. They have shown exceptional dedication, skill, and commitment.

Finally, I would like to extend my profound appreciation to Drs. Stefano Busillo and Emanuele Vannata, EUVALWEB tutors, and Dr. Elisabetta Lambiase, the supervisor of the Young Observers of the EUVALWEB Legal Observatory, for their invaluable contributions to our endeavours.

Although our project is concluding, we will continue our collective efforts as scholars and researchers.
Continue to follow us!
