Thanks to the participation of Prof. Niuton Mulleti, Professor of International Relations, Acting Head of the Department of Law, ‘EPOKA’ University of Tirana (Albania) and Member of the EUVALWEB Legal Observatory, the trainees learned more about the accession mechanisms of the Western Balkans, looking at the issues related to Bosnia Herzegovina and Kosovo.

They then reasoned with him about the effects of further enlargement processes to the East and conducted a Workshop concerning the EU Cooperation on Justice and Home Affairs, which lies at the heart of the accession process of the Western Balkans to the Union. The activities also covered the European area of freedom, security and justice as a challenge in relations with third states, but also between member states.
