On Thursday, October 30, Professor Teresa Russo, Director of the EUVALWEB Legal Observatory, was one of the keynote speakers at the plenary session of the XV Archibald Reiss Days International Scientific Conference on “Investigating and Proving Contemporary Forms of Crime: Scientific Approaches,” organised by the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies of Belgrade with the support of the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia in cooperation with a number of universities from Europe.

Professor Russo, also a member of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, discussed in her presentation the challenges of fighting corruption through a systemic/strategic approach in European Union law. In particular, she highlighted how different national traditions and legislation impact the adoption of harmonised legislation, which, however, contains clear gaps, especially in terms of preventive measures.

EUVALWEB is honoured by this opportunity, stressing with satisfaction the remarkable results that have ensued from the ongoing cooperation with the University of Criminal Investigation and Police Studies of Belgrade.
