The seminar of yesterday gave us the opportunity to talk about the key concerns in the fight against corruption. Prof. Russo outlined the European Union’s present approach in this field in her introduction. We were able to consider the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in the fight against corruption (Dr. Coppola), the challenges of criminal judicial cooperation in Montenegro in transforming to EU standards (Prof. Saranovic), and Ukraine’s progress in spite of the ongoing conflict (Professors Moroz and Novosolov, Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University).
We were then able to examine particular facets, such as how corruption affects respect to human rights and the Union’s core values, thanks to the youngest’s involvement (Dr. Vannata, and Drs. Surloska and Trajkoska, North Macedonia).
We are quite pleased because the seminar was the first step in scientific cooperation with the Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University (Ukraine), owing to the involvement of Ukrainian professors and students online.
We will continue to work together to promote an open cultural dialogue as part of the Jean Monnet Chair EUVALWEB’s key mission to build an integrated European society.
