We were extremely impressed with the scientific results achieved at yesterday’s conference.
The multidisciplinary and theoretical-practical approach was fundamental to understanding the evolution of the crime of trafficking in human beings.
In addition, the conference enabled a dialogue between all authorities and actors involved at territorial level in the identification, detection and combating of this serious crime.
Coordination remains crucial to ensure adequate assistance and protection for victims and to punish perpetrators.
Similarly, prevention through training, scientific initiatives and programmes are crucial for raising the awareness of society as a whole towards this heinous crime that violates human dignity.
We are only at the first event of the implementation protocol on training concerning trafficking and exploitation concluded with the Court of Salerno, and with the participation of Dedalus Cooperativa sociale, IOM, EUAA, UNHCR – which falls within the activities of the EUVALWEB Legal Observatory.
The conference also allowed us to reflect on further developments in the scientific research and practical implementation of the protocol.
We express our deepest gratitude to the professors, professionals, lawyers, trial clerks, students and civil society who participated in the work of the conference.
