On Monday, 9 November 2026, at 12:30 p.m., the seminar entitled “The Recognition of International Protection and the Right to Defence of Migrants” will take place in the “Volterra” Lecture Hall at the Department of Legal Sciences, University of Salerno.
The EUVALWEB Legal Observatory is organising the event as part of the Legal Clinic “EU Cooperation on Justice and Home Affairs: Knowledges”, and it aims to provide an opportunity to explore the legal safeguards and key procedural issues involved in examining applications for international protection.
Prof. Teresa Russo, Associate Professor of European Union Law at the Department of Legal Sciences, University of Salerno, will introduce the seminar. Rossella Riccio, a Lawyer at the Salerno Bar Association, will deliver the main lecture.
The initiative is part of the Legal Clinic’s broader program of academic activities, aimed at fostering dialogue between theoretical knowledge, European and national legislation, and professional practice, while giving students valuable tools to understand the practical challenges of protecting migrants’ rights.
We look forward to welcoming you!
